About Nairobi

Nairobi, Kenya

Nairobi has many parks and open spaces throughout the city. Much of the city has dense tree covers and plenty of green spaces. The most famous park in Nairobi is Uhuru Park. The park borders the central business district and the neighborhood of Upper Hill.

Uhuru Park is a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike because it offers a wide variety of attractions: from an Olympic-sized pool to playgrounds for children, picnic areas, gardens, lakeside walks, bicycle paths, wildlife viewing spots (including four species of primates), as well as a daycare center for infants up to three years old.

The beauty of Uhuru Park is that it’s easy to get around – you can walk or bike there from virtually any part of Nairobi. In addition to its recreational facilities, Uhuru Park also serves as a vital connector between different parts of the city.
